This Post We are about to discuss is to address the Increasing trend of fabricated Rip-Off by the Hospitality Industry by Levying us with a Charge we mostly ignore .
This Fabricated charge is called " Service Charges ".
Yes , This is a trend we have observed in almost every food outlets and dining spots . They levy us a charge for their services , These are said to be charges for bringing food to our tables and maintaining the Outlet .
Well Readers , This is an illegal practice and comes under scrutiny of Consumer Rights Section .

The simple logic behind this is that the person bringing food / ordered meal is being paid in salary by his/her employer and even then expects us to be tipped .
Charging the extra amount is a simple rip-off and not under any circumstance comes under legalized practice of consumer-service provider practice .
We were , when asked , fed with a pre-planned answer which were of not up to the satisfactory level and the manager was Stumped when we acknowledged this .
We generally ignore this and pay the amount ( 7%-10% Generally) , but what we do not realize that we paid an extra sum just for a service which is expected and that too not in good faith .
So remember Reader , Be aware of this practice and do not be afraid for standing up for what is right and demand a Refund next time you come across this practice.
